Keyboard needs to charge..use the supplied cord and plug it into the side of the PC...will take a bit - but you should be able to use it while charging.

The Keyboard, unlike the mouse, has a rechargeable battery. Use the included Mini-USB to USB cable to charge the keyboard. Plug the Mini-USB side of the cable into the front of the keyboard, then plug the USB end into a USB port on the computer, while the computer is turned on. You can use the keyboard while it is plugged in and charging. After approximately 2-hours of charging, you can unplug the keyboard and now use it wirelessly. You should get about a week's worth of life from a full charge of the keyboard battery under moderate to heavy use.
