It’s true, even if you pay them they still want you call Lenovo and customer service it’s terrible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also own this Lenovo IdeaCentre A540-24API, bought at Best Buy November, 2019 for my daughter. The wireless WIFI can't get above 7 mbps and the video locks up, blanks black & green when trying view simple online video, even with a wired ethernet connect, the video is frustrating defective. Unfortunately it was gift to my daughter and the box did not open for 3 months (my mistake), so I lost out on the return to store policy. Today I sent the Computer back under the manufacturer 1 year warranty, to LENOVO Service Depot in Houston, at my cost ($52), since they won't pay shipping for me to send this to them. Apparently this is in the fine print you don't get to see at time of purchase. With all the headache, I wish I would of bought the Best Buy Plan, whereas I can have direct contact with the geek squad, or maybe some say that's not any better either, hindsight now. My experience is that the LENOVO support "Chat with a Live Agent" you get more accomplished than speaking with someone offshore, unbelievable bad support. Finally got an address where to send it back. It is in FEDEX's hand at the moment and I will be tracking this every day and I will NOT let them off the hook to make this right.
