  • QuestionHello, I'm in grad school, and I need a new laptop. I need a laptop that will let me download Lockdown Respondus so that I can take my exam. With the Window 11 S, will I be able to download Respondus? I will need to use either Chrome, Edge or Foxfire.

    • Answer Hey, Isha. Based off Respondus resources, S mode is not a supported operating system version for their LockDown Browser, but you can switch out of S mode to standard Windows 11 Home to enable download of the apps you need.

  • QuestionON/Off button location I click that button it just goes back to save screen. When i do a long press it just sleeps. The white light pulses. What am i missing?

    • Answer The Power Options settings controls what pressing the power button does. Open the Control Panel, click on "Power Options." On the left side, there is a link with the wording "Choose what the power buttons do." Click on it. Read what it says there and make your choices. Click on "Save changes" when you are ready. You can always go back to this and change settings as many times as you want.

    • Answer Hey there, yes, with the dual-array microphone and camera, using Teams and Zoom, even streaming, all shouldn't be an issue. As a heads up, when using Zoom, if you need the app and not the online site, you may need to switch the Flex 5i out of Windows 11 Home in S mode to run it since S mode devices can only run apps that are offered in the Microsoft Store.     • Answer I have a similar PC (although I added RAM and a video card) and it should be fine, once you remove S Mode. However, you may have to close all extraneous programs to do so.
