- Answer The unit I received was in great physical condition. Looked new and worked great for the first 40 days however I started having problems about 45 days after the purchase. It is currently out for repair.

QuestionWould it still be possible to purchase Best Buy's Accidental Damage Plan.I would hate to buy a computer and have it fall apart shortly after purchase and the Geek Squad guys blame it on an outside issue before they inspected it.

- Answer If you buy a Geek Squad Certified Refurbished computer, the burden of proof is on you that you did not cause what might have been a pre-existing condition. This happened to me, I paid over $800 to basically rent a computer for less than 7 months since it completely failed. It was within the 1 year warranty, but they claim it must have occurred after I got it and so will not stand behind the warranty. I would not buy a refurbished/certified computer from Best Buy.

- Answer The BestBuy web page for the product said that a full one year warranty does apply.

QuestionAre the refurbish products useablehi im an a 500 dollar budget for a laptop from a family member and when i saw this laptop i knew it was for me. top of the line. but what worries me is that I've seen comments saying the it stopped working after like 70-75 days and if so why. i really dont want me spending the extra hundred dollars to actually get one and the family member to get upset for spending 500 dollars to get me it. so i would greatly appreciate it if someone could answer my question. thanks!!

- Answer We recommend you check with the Geek Squad for details concerning this specific model. Also, ask about purchasing an extended warranty insurance if you are concerned about a system failure. Be sure you understand what the warranty does and doesn't cover.
