Is the Ideapad slow? null

What is your definition of slow? A Windows XP computer? It uses flash memory so the bottle neck from having to wait on the hard drive to spin up or collect data. Where is your slowdown happening? Is your internet up to speed? Are you trying to use photoshop? This is great for word processing and surfing the internet.

I have 24 GHz here at home and I use it at college with countless people on it at one time and it doesn't skip a beat.

The Atom processor within this system is an entry level processor. The idle speed of the processor is 1.33 GHz with a Burst Frequency of 1.83 GHz.
