“Are the laptop's components (ie wifi chip) compatible with Linux mint 19 or Ubuntu 19.04?”

• I am unable to answer that. Laptop has Windows 10 home. i added 8GB memory and it is working and running fast b/c of the SSD.

• That will depend on the requirements and compatibility of the software.
