• Yes, but you can choose when the backlighting is on with the Fn key and space bar.

• Yes, the keyboard is back lit. However, it's odd -- it doesn't default to being on, so you need to hit ALT + Space bar to turn it on.

• The keyboard is backlit. The keyboard drops into the chassis when put into tablet position.
