Have been using it for over 3 months now and being in the computer field myself I did some research before buying this laptop and I would say it was a good buy.
Pros:
Multi-touch expandable touchscreen view. Screen adjusts to landscape view automatically if screen is rotated. (Not for all sites/software and no it's not always the laptops fault. Some sites/software are built that way and of course it's not an iPAD)
Light and sleek for a thinkpad.
Doesn't have a cheap look. It has expensive sleek look to it.
Smooth switch from tablet to laptop mode. Even in laptop mode I have used mouse pad along with touchscreen with quick responses.
Onscreen keyboard is available and automatically pops up on touchscreen.
Wifi connects up to 45-48 mbps on a 50-55 mbps service. My previous Dell laptop used to connect at 25 mpbs on wifi. Don't get me wrong, Dells are still durable machines.
Fan is not as loud as other review states. Of course if you block the air vents by covering it all up on your comfortable pillow or comforter then the fan will kick in faster making louder noise. At least place it on a binder or something.
Cons:
No backlit keyboard
Not available in i7
Switching from tablet to laptop mode, I noticed that few keys around the center will only pop half way up. It happens that I had to gently push down the keyboard frame for the keys to pop up completely. Happened few times when laptop was new. Haven't happened lately.
If the screen goes to sleep while still in laptop or tablet mode, sometimes it doesn't wake up from sleep even through keystrokes or mouse pad actions and have to use power button to wake it up.
Mouse pad sometimes doesn't respond or will freeze as if it has confused itself from laptop mode with tablet mode but it will start reacting after few min.
Doesn't have Ethernet port so cannot be used on wired only network.
Definitely this laptop has more positive aspects to it compared to bad and even with the bad it's happens randomly and occasionally.

II love this laptop. I am a gamer and I wanted a laptop that would play Dayz standalone. I have found the laptop that can play the games I want on setting that are appealing to the eyes. The water and dtails of game look real.
I like the battery life. I believe his surfing the net I got around 4 hours of surfing. The keyboad has a great feel to it. You figure just glide over the keys.

I wish it had a faster processor, but it is a good laptop. I love the responsive touchscreen and how it has so many positions though I'm not sure I will use them all. It's super lightweight which was a major goal of mine. I've been impressed with the battery life as well. At first i was put off by windows 8, but now I'm happy with it.

This is a good computer. Reasonably fast, decent screen (Although the resolution could be better), excellent keyboard, but a little heavy and it could use a large SSD. All in all, worth the investment.

I purchased this laptop with in-class use in mind. I knew the drawbacks to this laptop when I purchased it, but they are negated by several things. The huge pro's of this laptop are storage, 3 USB, quality construction, awesomely comfortable keyboard, display, the yoga feature, and the lift and lock keyboard. The con's are picky wireless range, doesn't like to run on slow internet speeds (it's like it wants a certain speed and if it doesn't get it, it won't do anything), and it's hard to keep it looking clean.

I needed to update my laptop for work. I had been using a Toshiba Ultrabook (which I had been very happy with). The Best Buy Associate recommended the Yoga 14. It is fast, sturdy, and I really like the tablet feature. Battery life is excellent. And the price was very reasonable.

Best Windows Laptop I've Used

Up front I confess to being a Mac user. I converted from Windows about four years ago and never looked back. Then I needed a windows laptop to brush up on programming skills. I tried six different laptops before landing on this one and I can say without doubt that it is the best! Not the most powerful or the fastest or the highest screen resolution but simply the best.
1. Best build of any laptop I've used outside of the Mac line.
2. Best keyboard of any windows laptop and as good as my Macs.
3. Best trackpad and right up there with the Macs.
4. Best overall display. Deep rich colors, spot on. Bright and sharp. The 1920 x 1080 resolution is perfect for the 14" screen size.
5. Good, solid performance. Especially surprised with the boot time using the 5400 rpm HDD and the 16GB SSD cache.
6. Not a game player but the graphics performance is outstanding. Love the 2GB dedicated graphics controller.
7. I even love the Track Pointer (or whatever it's called). Found some really good uses for it.
8. As versatile and portable as a MacBook Air with a much better display.
9. And finally, and maybe most important, the best overall value for the dollar.
I've even used it in Tablet mode while watching TV and it's really quite fun.
I spent a long time looking and probably irritated the Best Buy folks and a couple other retailers when I brought back the machines that didn't stack up. I apologize for that, but this is probably the last laptop I will ever purchase and I needed it to be darn near perfect.
As you might guess, I highly recommend this product.

I like this Lenovo laptop a lot. Great keyboard (the best I have ever used on any laptop) and a very responsive touchscreen with excellent resolution. I also like the fact that the laptop has 3 USB. Ports. Very fast start up and shut down and excellent processor.
I do not like Windows 8.1 but that is a separate issue.

I love that this computer has the ability to fold back. When my employee is in the office he can use a wireless mouse and keyboard and flip the computer back to use it like a desk top. It has more than enough storage, and is light to carry around at construction sites. I'm happy with my purchase.

I had a Yoga 13 previously which was lighter and bit faster. i switched because I need a better bigger keyboard, and a larger lower resolution screen (the Yoga's higher than 1080p screen caused issues with many legacy programs). So far I am pleased with the laptop. In tablet mode it is a bot heavy but for occasionally use it works well.

Having worked in the IT industry for many years I'm really picky about the laptop I buy for my personal use. I researched new laptops and software for at least 6 months to really understand what it was I wanted and needed in my next computer. I knew I wanted a convertible and I knew if I was going to graduate to Windows 8 I had to have a touchscreen. This is the one I chose and I could not be happier that I did! It's quite a machine!! The speed and performance is awesome. My experience with Best Buy in the buying and set up process has been most impressive: the Geek Squad went overboard for me and I am very grateful for the "new" Best Buy culture and service. I love my Thinkpad Yoga 14!!!

The Lenovo Yoga 14 is solidly built and offers many features. Because of its construction, it's a bit heavy, but still is easy to move around. The solid state memory enables fast start-ups and the one terabyte hard drive is more than adequate. My grandchildren love the touch-screen features and the keyboard is large enough for all the document work I perform. Overall, a good value for the money.

I bought this ThinkPad Yoga 14 primarily for working at home and business travel. Thus far I am very happy with the purchase. I bought mine as an open box model at 10% savings. Even at retail, I think this is a good machine. It is not flimsy, has excellent screen resolution, and performs very well. I am not a gamer and I use the machine mainily for internet research and to create documentation, etc. with MS Office so the 1TB 5400 rpm hard drive is huge and more is than fast enough for my needs. Speakers sound surprisingly good for a 2-in-1 type laptop/tablet device.
My favorite thing about the ThinkPad Yoga 14 is that when in 'laptop mode' the Yoga feels like a laptop, unlike the 12.5" ThinkPad Yoga model. Tablet mode is convenient for taking breaks from work and, although I didn't expect to use it, tent mode is great with a wireless mouse and keyboard...gives me a 'desktop' feel.
All-in-all, I think this is a great machine and am more than happy with my purchase for the price. Nearly everything exceeded my expectations. There are only two things I wish this machine had...1) A backlit keyboard... and 2) Windows 8.1 Professional.

It works geat so far. Very fast and durable. I sometimes have problems printing wirelessly, though. I don't know if that is a computer issue or a wireless network issue. And I'm still getting used to Windows 8.

The Yoga is a great laptop that doubles as a functional tablet. I purchased this for the sole purpose of replacing my laptop, having no need for the tablet functionality but viewing it as an added bonus, and that is certainly how it should be viewed - laptop first, tablet second. As a laptop it runs great, has a very responsive keyboard (with retractable keys when turned in tablet mode which is a HUGE convenience), and has triple mouse functionality in the touchpad, the infamous Lenovo nub (which I use mostly and find far more convenient than the touchpad), and a fully functional touch screen, melding it to anyone's preferences. The right, left, and scrolling buttons for the "mouse" buttons on the touch pad are somewhat inconsistent though. Not a huge bother for me, but enough to warrant the purchase of a wireless mouse for when I want to make life easier. The computer itself runs fast, starts up fast, has a battery life of several hours, and has more storage space than I know what to do with. Additionally, the entire laptop is incredibly sturdy, and while I haven't tested it out (for obvious reasons), feels like it could be dropped several times, even forcefully, and survive unscathed. Overall, just a really great laptop, well worth the price paid.

Purchased this for my son when he wanted a smaller computer than his 17 inch Alienware behemoth. He chose this based on the feel of the keyboard, he and my wife both felt it was the best of the Yogas. While not the thinnest or lightest, they felt the keyboard was worth the extra weight.

The Lenovo Yoga Think Pad computer is a very capable unit, providing me with a lighter, more portable Ultrabook than my previous 17 inch Laptop. The versatility is greatly increased by the various positions you can adjust the unit to the many modern needs of the mobile lifestyle.....
The only drawbacj I have seen is the mousepad, which tends to be a little slow.......All in all, Lenovo has been a decent unit which I should enjoy for years to come.......
