Yes. I swapped mine out for a 840 EVO. Only the thin 2.5" 7mm drives will fit though. 9mm drives will not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a 2.5" drive but not really standard as it's a 7mm slim drive. I upgraded to a SSD without any problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, a SSD drive could be swapped into the machine, but this drive is pretty quick on boot with the hybrid 16GB SSD. plus the 1TB comes in really handy. Not a quick as a full SSD though (Even on boot) I may go full SSD one day when > 500 GB SSD's hit the $100 mark but the current drive is good enough for now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, It can be replaced although I have not attempted to do so yet. I am strongly considering it because I prefer the durability and reliability of SSDs over standard hard drives.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can upgrade the HD with the standard 2.5. Another option is to replace the M.2 HD which is used as a cache in the factory setup but can be replaced and made as an accessible system drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a 16G caching SSD and a 1TB hard drive
