I got some schmutz on the fabric and cleaning was simple. There are instructions (what to do and what not to do) that come in the box. Basically warm water, a little soap on a towel. Then being careful to stay on the back of the of the laptop and not get any of the electrical components wet. Sounds complicated but being careful as to not have anything drip onto the important stuff should do the trick.
