This unfortunately is a dual channel Thunderbolt 3 setup, so it will support 20Gbps. This will give slightly weaker performance if using it with an external GPU, and to date, will not allow you to run dual 4k displays. For just about everything else though, it shouldn't cause a big difference if any. Also note that the USB-C port does NOT support PowerDelivery, so you cannot charge the laptop via USB-C.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Thunderbolt 3 USB-c port has data transfer rates of 40Gbps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB type-c w/thunderbolt three will either support 2 channels (20gbps) or 4 channels (40gbps) of PCIe. Thunderbolt 3 rides on the USB-C interface... and from machine what the port actually provides can vary widely including... USB 3 over usb-c (basically the same as usb3 with the new connector. USB 3.1 over usb-c thunderbolt 3 - 2 channel thunderbolt 3 - 4 channel sometimes but not always USB 3.1 supports display port over usb-c so you can hook up external displays sometimes but not allways machines support charging over the usb-c connection. Unfortunately most of the time pc markers only list the specs as 'usb-c' and 'w/thunderbolt 3' if it has that. The rest of the questions are left to digging to get answered or just assume it has them and find out it doesn't after you have spent your money. The usb-c interface is kinda a one stop shop... but they really need to work on specs and consistency to make sure you know what your buying. In the case of the 720... we know its usb-c w/thunderbolt 3... and that it supports display port over usb-c as its mentioned as the only means of connecting external displays. I haven't found it listed anywhere if the thunderbolt 3 is 2 channel or 4 channel. Everyone thought they were all 4 channel until dell XPS models came along with only 2 channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, USB-c only supports 10 Gbps transfer.
