Q: QuestionWill Oblio sanitize a phone that does not have wireless charging and how do you know if it is sanitizing? Literature and manuals do not say anything about whether functions are independent or whether it will only sanitize when charging wirelessly.

• A:Answer You know its sanitizing because the UV light is on (glows purple). We have LG Stylo 4 and 5 phones in our house. Both seem to trigger the sterilizing function when dropped in without their external add on charging coil and with out an external case With a protective case on neither phone trigger sanitizing light and its intermittent whether the phones charge when they have an after market charging coil inside the case My feeling is that thickness and materials used in the external case cause too large an airgap for reliable operation. Maybe better charging coils and thinner cases will solve the issues or simply a phone built for wireless charging

• A:Answer Hi, The product has been designed in a way to provide the safest experience. Therefore, the placement of the UV-C Light is purposefully located in a place where there is no direct contact with your eyes. However, the product, as you can imagine, had to go through lots of lab testing (including the EPA certification) and this is closely regulated. Having the UV-C light visible to your eyes would be dangerous. However, rest assured that it is effectively sanitizing and killing 99.9% of the germs and bacteries on your phone screen. You can reactivate the sanitizing function by pressing again on the button located at the bottom of the product. David @ LEXON DESIGN

• A:Answer My 12 pro max fits in this thing, but it's constantly disconnecting from the charger which makes my iPhone constantly vibrate. Also I've never seen the UV light.. not sure if it's supposed to be visible but it looks like it in all the pics. I have never seen any light come on other than the led indicating the phone is charging. If you have an iPhone 12 I'd go with a MagSafe charger.

• A:Answer It didn’t have to be in the case of both my brother and dad who have otterbox cases. It worked with the case on. I gusss it depends on how thick your case is, though. Also, make sure you don’t have a magnet where the QI charging happens.
