The top of the microwave attaches to the bottom of the upper cabinet using specialized bolts, which keep the unit from tipping forward and secure it in place, and the Mounting Bracket is secured to the wall studs and drywall, which supports the weight of the appliance. Both the rear wall and the upper cabinet must be able to support up to 150 lbs plus the weight of any items stored inside the oven or the cabinet.
