However, all window air conditioners have the ability to dehumidify. AS with any other window air conditioner, it removes humidity from the air by drawing in warm, moist air and passing it over a cold coil, and condensing the moisture on the coil and is collecting the condensation in a pan below. This process also cools and dehumidifies the air that is circulated back into the room. If the AC is properly sized for your room, it can also help remove excess humidity from the air. A unit that is too small will not be able to effectively remove moisture from the air. If you need more effective dehumidification, you will need a dedicated Dehumidifier...^Ivan.

In your installation kit you’ll find: Type A screws (×2) for attaching the L-bracket behind the inner sill to prevent the unit from tipping forward Type B screws (×4) for fastening the adjustable side panels to the window frame Troubleshooting Step • After seating the air conditioner in your window, double-check that the L-bracket is flush against the back of the inner sill and firmly secured with the two Type A screws. This prevents vibration and keeps the unit locked in place. Make sure to tighten until snug, but avoid over-torquing and stripping the screw heads.
