- Answer You can control some functions of this unit by your TV remote control even by other company’s product. Controllable functions are volume up/down and mute. QuestionDoes this help balance the sound out? With the TV speakers, I find myself turning down the volume during action sequences or when music is playing and then needing to turn it back up to hear dialogue.

QuestionMy LG SK 4D sound bar just out of warranty has started rapidly increasing volume with no one close to any controls. Volume goes to max. Started about 2 months ago but now happens more frequently. Has gotten to the point i have just unplugged unit.

- Answer Regrettably, the specifications for the LG SK4D 2.1 Channel 300W Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer and Bluetooth® Connectivity do not list a size for the Subwoofer, but given the dimensions for its enclosure, it is more likely to be a 6" Subwoofer. ^CP

QuestionI just bought the sk4d soundbar and the manual was very limited. The inputs on the bar say: optical, usb, bt, lgtv. I have a lg tv but when I switch to mode “lgtv” I have no sound. Can you please explain what that mode is for??

QuestionI just purchased this but before I open and install. I just got a insignia 55 4K for Christmas. Is this compatible and do I need a special bracket to mount under the tv that we hanging on the wall. Already bought a bracket for the tv. Thank you

- Answer If you want to control the sound from your TV remote on an Insignia TV, no, the LG Sound bar is not compatible for pairing via bluetooth to the TV. However, the sound bar itself works fine hooked up directly to the Insignia TV using the sound bar remote control that comes with it. You just can't pair it to your TV to get rid of having to use the extra remote for the sound.
