QuestionMy cut out demsion: H 70 in/ W 36 in /D 24 Read answers from LG stating that height must be 71", your specification is H is 69 3/4". What problem would I face if I purchase this model, as I only have 1/4" room on the top? Any other models to recommend?

- Answer The recommended installation clearance spacing for the sides, top and rear of the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 22.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LFCC22426S are just to ensure that you have adequate airflow around the refrigerator. When a refrigerator is too close to your walls or overhead cabinets, its cooling capacity can be impaired resulting in increased electricity bills. However, the height of 69 3/4" that you are concerned about should not be an issue. That height is the height to the top of the door hinges. Unless you have custom upper cabinets that are deeper, Upper/Wall cabinets are typically 12" deep and can also be (also 15", 18", 24", so the hinges will not be a hindrance at all. The refrigerator has a height of 68 3/8" to the top of the case which is the height that matters when determining if it will fit into your cutout space. That means you will have a clearance of 1 5/8" when you install this refrigerator in your cutout space which is more than adequate...^IFV

QuestionI am confused, is this fridge frost free? Description says "manual" but others have said it is frost free and others say it isn't. Have a hard time believing you have to manually defrost taking out your food and placing hot water in it to defrost but???

- Answer To turn off the automatic icemaker, set the icemaker switch to OFF (O). To turn on the automatic icemaker, set the switch to ON (I). ^CP

QuestionWhat is the width of the fridge with both doors open 90 degrees? Can the drawers inside be removed with the doors 90 degrees open? The fridge will be placed next to a wall on the left side. How much clearance is needed between the wall and the fridge?

- Answer The width of the fridge with both doors open at around 90 degrees is about 41 to 42 inches. The vegetable/fruit drawers can be removed, although with some difficulty but the bottom drawer cannot be removed unless the doors are completely open (135 degrees). A clearance of at least 3-4 inches should be allowed between the wall and the door (the door handles stick out about 2.5 inches from the door).

QuestionI got a new LG Refrigerator LFCC22426S. On the door panel it states the temperature for the fridge (37 degree) and freezer (0 degree). Will the refrigerator indicate somehow when the ideal temp has achieved, or I need to measure it with a thermometer?

- Answer The displayed temperature is the target temperature, and not the actual temperature of the refrigerator. The actual refrigerator temperature depends on the food inside the refrigerator. You will need to use a thermometer for exact temperature inside the unit. ^Daphane

- Answer auto defrost for sure - a little frost buildup in freezer - but hardly anything. fridge is great - especuilly after ahving a horrible Samsung for 5 eyars that was an absolute dog. Never buy a Samsung fridge!
