- Answer Yes. The ice maker is in the door. The craft ice maker is down below in the (bottom) freezer. There is a smart feature that understands when the bin is full and it will stop producing ice as well but yes, it has an off switch.

- Answer Ours was cool within a few hours in the fridge section, took about 24-48 hours for the ice makers to work comfortably. from the manual: "Allow the refrigerator to run for at least two to three hours before putting food in it. Check the flow of cold air in the freezer compartment to ensure proper cooling."

The first batch of ice may not be your desired shape. If the craft ice maker is still not making ice after 48 hours, or not producing enough craft ice spheres LG recommends that you reach out to our LG Support Team via Facebook or Twitter. - Answer Either side or both can be right next to the wall or in a cabinet. Our cabinet opening is 36 inches wide and this Refrigerator slides in nice and snug. Air flows above and below with a 2 inch gap needed between the refrigerator and rear wall for ventilation.
