A:AnswerI installed this in a condo kitchen quite easily by removing one cabinet & countertop. I did have to do some advanced plumbing & electrical. by no means is it like a portable dishwasher. yes, the drain can be plumbed into the sink drain, only if you know what you're doing. otherwise get a good handyman or plumber to hook it up.
A:AnswerI had the same thing and bought this washer/dryer. Instillation was a snap. The delivery men were very professional and went through everything with me before they left. I LOVE my LG. No more changing loads and forgetting to put clothes in the dryer, just set it and walk away. (The only negative is that it doesn't fold the clothes!) Life is good. (LG) I am in the process of looking at other LG appliances.
A:Answeryes it'll work just fine without hot water, but you'll need to split the cold water line to attach to both hot & cold inlets. along with the machine, I purchased a drain hose extension from Home Depot to run the drain into the cellar where the old machine drain is located. I installed it in a kitchen by removing one cabinet/countertop and also had to plumb new water lines and electrical outlet. a DIYer can get the job done, but if you're not experienced, get a good handyman or plumber.
A:AnswerCan you try to be more specific please? All washers use water and are either electric or gas powered. The Electric ones will either plug in to a standard 110v outlet (or a 220v outlet if the machine is wired for it) in your laundry room or garage just like any other appliance.
A:AnswerIf you mean the drain hose on the back of the machine, your delivery/installation crew should have taken care of that. But I am guessing you mean the small filter drain at the front of the machine. Draning this is an infrequent periodic operation following the instructions in the manual. This can be drained into any small convenient container. After draining and cleaning the filter, this drain must be replugged before operating the washer.
A:AnswerThe only thing I can think of is if you unplug the hot and cold lines from the washer/dryer. I'm not a plumber but that's the only thing I can think of.
A:AnswerYou cant compare this machine to a conventional stand-alone drier.
Time is a function of materials being dried. You determine the drying cycle you wish to use depending on how damp you want the load to be on exit..
If you want towels to be dried completely, it could take 2+ hours. Clothes take less time than towels.
I bought this machine equipped with a stainless steel drum because I had to replace a 15+years old combo machine which was rough on clothes, made lots of noise, was outdated for current materials treatment, and environmentally less friendly in terms of energy and water consumption.
Hope my comments help in your decision-making process.
A:AnswerIt's no louder than my old standalone washer or dryer. It's no more dangerous or risky than your typical washer. The have electricity and water together.
