Regrettably, we cannot advise you on installing the unit in a manner that is not in congruence with the instructions provided in the manual so installing the unit on a platform to raise it 2 inches will be at your discretion. If you decide to install the unit on a platform, to minimize noise and vibration during the spin cycle, you will need to ensure that the unit is installed on a level, solidly constructed platform capable of supporting the appliance without flexing or bouncing...^Ivan.

- Answer Dead center in the back of the unit you have the vent hose. It’s about half way down the unit. I’d say on the lower back side of the dryer which is located on the top, washer is on the bottom.

- Answer Only if you have them install it for you. I think if you had an electric unit prior and your own basic tools, you should be fine to install. Just check the power outlets and stuff to be certain. They can also tell you what it requires.

- Answer I hope this helps, but I suggest you look at the dimensions offered on the Best Buy website. I needed precise measurements for a custom cabinet being built for my WashTower as part of my laundry room remodel. I remember a diagram showing all angles of the WashTower with measurements. I gave this diagram to my contractor and the cabinet is a perfect fit. Best wishes! I hope the size works for you because the WashTower is absolutely great!
