  • QuestionCan I choose a delivery date after my move-in (by the end of July)? I also want to know whether this item needs special installation which costs extra money. Because this is ventless dryer and washer, I do not think special installation is needed.

    • Answer You should be able to select the delivery date that best fits your needs and schedule. Please contact Best Buy customer service at (888) 237-8289 for information regarding scheduling delivery, The unit should not require an special installation. Combination models are able to be plugged directly into a standard three-prong outlet. The unit should be plugged into a 120-VAC, 60Hz grounded 3-prong outlet. Please consider your access to washer and dryer hookups in your apartments and rental homes. ^Daphane

    • Answer You don't have to open the door. Just plug it into the wall socket first, then the clothes will teleport into the machine. I still can't figure out how to get the clothes out after it washes and dries automatically.

  • QuestionSo this may sound dumb, exactly where do you dry the clothes? In the same drum you wash the clothes?

    • Answer It's only dumb, if you don't ask. Yes, you just choose the "Dry" function when you start the washer. When it's done washing, it automatically switches to drying. Just a heads up, the dry function is not available for all wash options. I'm not sure why, and the manual doesn't explain why that is. However, it has a "Drain+Spin" function which you can use with the Dry function.

    • Answer Regrettably, we do not have any test results that show how much electricity and water the LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Washer and 12-Cycle Electric Dryer Combo - Black Steel, Model # WM399HBA uses for one load on its longest setting. After you have selected your preferred options and settings, when you press Start/Pause to initiate the wash cycle, the washer will agitate briefly without water to measure the weight of the load and determine how much water to use for the cycle based on your incoming water pressure, your selected options and modifiers and the size of the load...^IFV

    • Answer Once the wash cycle for the LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Washer and 12-Cycle Electric Dryer Combo - Black Steel, Model # WM3998HBA has started, you will need to press the Start/Pause button to pause the wash cycle. However, if temperature or the water level inside the machine is too high, the door will not unlock when the Start/Pause button is pressed. To open the door in these circumstances, press Add Garments. To stop a cycle and drain the water completely, turn the power off, then on, and then press Rinse+Spin (Page 21 in your owner's manual)...^IFV

    • Answer You can put it on a pedestal...but as to stacking I don't know for sure, but I don't believe so. Since this machine is both washer AND dryer it doesn't need to pair with anything else. I literally have just this machine and nothing else.

Black Steel Ultra Large Capacity Electric All-in-One Washer Dryer Combo, Model # WM3998HBA has a Load Sensing system for determining the water levels for individual wash cycles. After loading your clothing items in to the washer and you have selected your chosen options, when the Start/Pause button is pressed to begin the wash cycle, the washer will first measure the load size to determine how much water to use for that cycle with your chosen options and it automatically adjusts the water level for the type and size of wash load for best results and maximum efficiency. Due to the high-efficiency nature of this product, water levels may be much lower than expected. This is normal and cleaning/rinsing performance will not be compromised. The washer has a total weighted per-cycle water consumption of 16 65 gallons...^IFV
