I have tried to make this work also, I have 2 different Comcast Xfinity remotes, the XR11 and XR5, none of the codes will work with this TV, I spent hours trying and searching Google, seems there is no code for this TV, which is a little disappointing because the LG remote is pretty bad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.its better to use the remote that came with it because i have a fios and when i programmed it to mine the mute button is a different button on my fios remote the av button is the mute and the mute is the av
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to go to your settings on your comcast box and sync the cable remote to the tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are looking to use the Comcast remote to control the TV functions, you will need to contact Comcast to ask if the remote you currently have is a universal remote that is capable of controlling the functions on the LG - 42" Class (41.9" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - HDTV, Model # 42LF5600. The channel selector & guide are not the TV's functions, those are from the cable set top box so you might not have a universal remote at all but if it was a universal remote, depending on which one you have, it may have limited functionality but you would need to contact Comcast about the remote's capabilities and if it capable of controlling the TV's functions they will guide you on how to set it up...^IFV
