  • QuestionAre both washer and dryer 120V? I looked at other models and it says 240V for the dryer.

    • Answer It is definitely 240v for the dryer! The specs are confusing regarding this. My delivery had to be rescheduled as we did not realize this initially. The unit was installed today and the power 240v outlet worked very well as the unit functioned properly.

Electric Dryer, Model # WKEX300HBA is equipped with a power that has a 3-pronged, grounding plug that must be plugged into a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall outlet, rated 120V, 60 Hz. As with standalone electric dryers, the dryer has a terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes. (The circuit must be fused on both sides of the line.) The power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the dryer terminal block IS NOT supplied with the dryer and must be purchased separately. The type of pigtail and gauge of wire must conform to your local codes. Depending on your local building codes and ordinances, you can use a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire (NEMA Configuration 10-30p plug), or a 30-amp, 240-volt, 4-wire (NEMA Configuration 14-30p for the plug) UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed loop or forked terminals with upturned ends. First, it’s possible that the dryer is experiencing an interrupted power supply. Check if the power is consistently supplied and whether there are any issues with the electrical connection. Another common reason could be small loads. If you're drying a small load, the dryer might not detect the load properly, causing the cycle to end prematurely. You can try adding a few more items or select a Speed Dry or Timed Dry cycle to see if that helps. It’s also worth checking if there is any residue on the sensors that could prevent proper load detection. You can clean the sensors gently with a soft cloth. Lastly, performing a hard reset might resolve the issue. To do this: Unplug the dryer. Press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds, then press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 seconds. Electric Dryer, Model # WKEX300HBA is equipped with a 3-prong power cord and plug, but as with standalone electric dryers, a power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the dryer terminal block IS NOT supplied with the dryer.
