  • Questionhow do I defrost the freezer on this mini fridge?

    Asked by linda.

    • Answer Hello there, Linda.Thank you for reaching out about the LG LRONC0605V Single Door Refrigerator. We understand that defrosting your mini fridge is important for keeping it running smoothly. This model features a convenient Semi Auto Defrost function. To defrost the freezer, simply press the defrost button on the temperature control knob. The automatic defrosting process takes about 1 hour, and once it's complete, the button will return to its normal position. For best results, ensure that the frost on the freezer's surface doesn’t exceed 1/4 inch (6 mm) before initiating the defrost process. If the frost is more than 1/4 inch, please check and empty the drip tray behind the fridge to ensure proper drainage. Refer to Owner's manual page 13 and 14 for Defrosting Mode at: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-LRONC0605V.APZCNA0 If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. • QuestionThe electric rating is stated as 15 amperes - identical to the 29 cu ft French door model. May we assume that is peak draw? And the running amperage will be much less? Thanks

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer This is intended to be utilized with a standard home receptacle outlet that is typically rated with a 15amp breaker. This does not mean the unit draws 15 amps, it is just what the breaker needs to have as a maximum trip point. This unit is incredibly efficient and after the initial inrush current has quickly subsided(<250 msec) it pulls approximately 2 amps maximum.

  • Questionhow low and high are the refrigerator temperature settings?

    Asked by Roy.

    • Answer The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.79 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator with Semi Auto Defrost - Platinum Silver, Model: LRONC0605V, does not have conventional temperature ranges for the refrigerator compartment, and the freezer compartment. Unlike LG Refrigerators that have a default setting of 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator compartment and can be set from 33°F to 43°F (1°C to 7°C), and a default temperature of 0°F (-18°C), for the Freezer compartment and can be set from - 7°F to 5 °F (-23°C to -15°C), the default setting for this model's refrigerator temperature control is COLDER., and you should set the temperature control between COLDEST and OVER FREEZING if you want to quick freeze foods. When quick freezing is finished, you will need to set the control back to the COLDER position. Leaving the control set between COLDEST and OVER FREEZING for a long time can freeze items in the fresh food compartment. To make ice cubes, you will need to fill the ice cube tray with water to slightly below the rim and place it in the freezer, then set the temperature control to the COLDEST position. To save energy, remember to reset the temperature To remove ice cubes easily, you can run water over the tray before twisting the control to COLDER once the ice is made...^Ivan.

Based on the official manual for this direct cooling model, the defrost button is a manual mechanical switch located in the center of the temperature control dial.
