“Does the TV's Optical Audio Output pass Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 channel audio signal? I purchased a Definitive Technology W Studio sound bar system and it does not have ARC. Therefore, I couldn't connect via HDMI and had to use an optical cable connection. But, I am concerned that I am loosing sound quality if the TV can't pass full unfiltered audio through its optical output. Is audio signal pass equivalent for the optical output as the HDMI ARC?”
