QuestionWhat is determining factor on going curved vs flat? Performance is supposedly equal

- Answer For screen sizes of 65 or less I would stick with a flat vs curved set. I feel to really get the benefit of a curved set and not limit your viewing angel for multiple viewers you really need to get a large set. I would say 75 inches at a minimum, but ideally 85 or larger.

- Answer I tried a 'good' cable sold in Magnolia but returned it didn't see a difference. Amazon Basics are great inexpensive cables

QuestionDoes the TV's Optical Audio Output pass Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 channel audio signal?I purchased a Definitive Technology W Studio sound bar system and it does not have ARC. Therefore, I couldn't connect via HDMI and had to use an optical cable connection. But, I am concerned that I am loosing sound quality if the TV can't pass full unfiltered audio through its optical output. Is audio signal pass equivalent for the optical output as the HDMI ARC?

- Answer Yes, I have the optical out running to a Yamaha aventage 1040 and it received Dolby 5.1 from the tv

- Answer Yes, the 55EF9500 and 65EF9500 support the HDR spec as outlined in the UHD BluRay spec.

- Answer It's superb! Even has a sports mode that somehow bumps up the volume of the crowd lol its the little things like that, that won me over. Plus no judder for fast pase games is great. As far as quality of picture, alot has to do with your provider. Direct TV might have the best HD quality and I hear they have begun to work on providing some 4k channels.

QuestionHow tall is the standCan you provide the dimensions of the TV stand? I am looking to purchase a sound bar to sit in front of the tv and am looking for the height available to ensure the screen or controls are not blocked.

- Answer 2 1/4" to the bottom of the TV. 2 3/4" to the screen. The remote is RF so I don't think you would have to worry about any sensors being blocked.

QuestionArticulating wall mountI understand the EF9500 does not have a traditional VESA mounting configuration and requires a specific wall mount, which merely has tilting capability. Are there currently any plans for LG or another manufacture to develop a compatible full articulating mount?

- Answer Yes Peerless makes very nice ones which you can order through best buy. I have the 27 inch but the proprietary LG mount has to be mounted to the articulating mount.

- Answer Yes, LG has its own ultra slim wall mount. It tilts and will angle from side to side. It extends out a small amount amd the tv can angle from that distance.

- Answer The 2015 EF series TVs supports HDR. The 2016 models add Dolby Vision.

- Answer It extends 3.5 inches; however, is only 5/8" thick, and the back of the stand from the display down is clear. This makes the stand invisible.

- Answer It's not noticeable with custom trumotion settings (2/10). with the default trumotion it's pretty bad supposedly, but to be honest i couldnt really perceive any in either case.
