“Oven Temperature not matching settng Is anyone else having issues with the oven temp not getting to the desired settin, i.e I set it for 350, and even though it says it reached that temp, it always takes longer for food to cook than instructions call for. This happens 100% of the time with top oven, which I used he most. I have not tested the lower oven.”

Hello Lei. Thank you for your inquiry. If you think that the your oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself. On page 20 of your owner's manual are instructions on how to do just that and you will need to get a thermometer from a grocery store to help with the adjustment. Keep in mind though that the type of cookware you're using can cause temperature variances and that opening the door while cooking can also lower the temperature thus affecting cooking time. The other thing to keep in mind is that the cooking times given are not exact, they are close approximations because so many factors can affect the cooking time. Please try again later.I had a similar situation I set the oven for 3 50 and it would only go up to 3:25 in order for me to get it to go to 350 had to send it for 375 when I talk to the LG rep on the phone he said it's supposed to work that way because it's supposed to be hotter then in the to 3:25 is equivalent to at 3:50 I don't know how true that is when I used the top oven it did go to the temperature that I set it for it only did that on the bottom using convection

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This does not happen with my top oven at all. Put a thermometer in there and if you're consistently off by something significant like 10 degrees, I would notify the manufacturer (or best buy if you have a warranty).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have it checked out if it bothers you a lot. It is possible that 1) there is a defect. If you suspect one, report it quickly. A technician can put a thermocouple in it and see fairly quickly. It is also possible 2) (if you are subconsciously comparing it to an old oven) that the old unit was too hot cooking too fast and this one is right making it feel slow and 3) all cooking times are approximate. So just how far off of "normal" are your cooking times. Nobody knows best but you. More so than time to me is cooking quality, is it even or are there hot/cool spots in many of the dishes you prepare.
