Asked by Tish.
- A:Answer Hello there, Tish. Thank you for sharing your inquiry with us. We understand you're asking about the type of pots and pans required for your LSEL6335XE cooktop and if there are recommended brands. Your LSEL6335XE range has a smoothtop ceramic glass cooktop. This type of cooktop does require certain considerations for cookware to ensure optimal performance and to prevent damage. Here are the key recommendations for cookware on ceramic glass cooktops: Flat, Smooth Bottoms: This is the most crucial factor. Pans must have a completely flat and smooth bottom to make full contact with the cooking surface for even heat transfer and to prevent scratches. Avoid cookware with textured, warped, or rough bottoms. Medium to Heavy-Weight Cookware: Thinner or lightweight pans can sometimes warp, leading to uneven cooking. Medium to heavy-weight cookware is generally preferred. Recommended Materials: Stainless Steel: Highly recommended, especially those with a "sandwich-clad" bottom (combining stainless steel with aluminum or copper) for better heat distribution. Heavy-Weight Aluminum: Also good for fast and even heating. Be aware that some plain aluminum can leave marks that resemble scratches, which should be cleaned immediately. Porcelain/Enamel on Metal: Acceptable if the coating is smooth and the bottom is thick and flat. Avoid if the exterior is painted or colored, as it might fuse to the surface if overheated. Carbon Steel: Can be used if it has a flat, smooth bottom. Materials to Use with Caution or Avoid: Cast Iron (Traditional/Rough): Not generally recommended. It can scratch the glass surface due to its rough texture, and it holds a lot of heat, which can sometimes cause the element to shut down as a safety measure. If you use enameled cast iron, ensure it's completely covered with smooth porcelain enamel. Glass or Ceramic Cookware: Not recommended as they can scratch the surface and are poor heat conductors, leading to longer cooking times. Copper Bottom (Pure Copper): Can leave residue that looks like scratches and may permanently stain the cooktop if overheated or boiled dry. If using, ensure they have a stainless steel base. Stoneware: Not recommended due to potential scratching and poor cooking performance. When shopping, look for cookware explicitly labeled "suitable for glass cooktops" or "for smooth top ranges." Some brands often mentioned for their compatibility include All-Clad, Made In, Caraway, GreenPan, and Zwilling. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-6-3-cu-ft-slide-in-electric-true-convection-range-with-instaview-and-2-ultraheat-elements-printproof-stainless-steel/6623704.p?skuId=6623704 Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions. Q: QuestionWill the Rio collection with anodized aluminum base scratch glass electric stovetop?
Asked by Tish.
- A:Answer Regrettably, we are not familiar with the Rio Collection with anodized aluminum base, but regardless of brand or manufacturer, hard-anodized aluminum cookware is not likely to scratch ceramic cooktops. The smooth finish of hard-anodized aluminum is designed to prevent scratching, making it a safe choice for use on ceramic surfaces, so it is unlikely to scratch the ceramic glass cooktop on the Energy Star® Certified LG 6.3 cu. Ft. Smart Electric Slide-in Range with InstaView®, ProBake Convection®, and Air Fry, Model # LSEL6335XE. You can verify that with the cookware's manufacturer...^Ivan.

Q: QuestionWhat’s the difference between a slide in range & a stand alone? “slide in” ranges new to me
Asked by Nana17.
- A:Answer Slide-in ranges have been available since the early 20th century, with their design evolving over time to fit flush between cabinets and countertops. Slide-in ranges require custom cabinetry and must fit between two cabinets, and are designed to fit snugly between cabinets, providing a built-in look that enhances the kitchen's overall aesthetic. They often have a slightly wider cooktop for a seamless transition with countertops. They have controls that are located at the front, making them more accessible and safer to use, as you don’t have to reach over hot surfaces. They may require professional installation, especially if modifications to cabinetry are needed. They do not have a backguard, allowing for a cleaner look and more display options for backsplash materials. Stand-alone ranges, often referred to a freestanding ranges can be placed anywhere in the kitchen, making them versatile for various layouts. They do not require installation between cabinets and can be moved easily. They typically have a built-in backsplash and finished sides, allowing them to stand alone without needing cabinetry., and they have controls that are located on the backguard, which may require reaching over hot surfaces to adjust settings. You may also encounter standalone slide-in ranges that are designed to fit snugly between countertops or other appliances, providing a seamless integration with the kitchen's design. These ranges are typically equipped with controls located at the front, allowing for easy access and operation without reaching over hot surfaces. They often come with a built-in backsplash, which can be a decorative feature in the kitchen. Standalone slide-in ranges offer a custom fit and can be installed in various locations, making them versatile for different kitchen layouts and styles. However, they may require more space and careful consideration for installation due to their design...^Ivan.

Q: QuestionIs there a broiler in the oven?
Asked by Kar.
- A:Answer Hi there, Kar. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the LSEL6335XE 6.3 cu ft. Slide-In Electric True Convection Range with InstaView. Yes, this model does include a broiler function in the oven. When you select the Broil High or Broil Low setting on the front control panel, the hidden broil element located at the top of the oven cavity will activate. To use it effectively, ensure that your oven rack is positioned in one of the top two rack positions—this allows food to be close enough to the broil element for proper searing and browning. As a first troubleshooting step, if you notice uneven broiling or that the broiler isn’t heating as expected, turn the range off, allow it to cool, then verify that the rack is securely seated in the upper position and that there are no foil or cookware obstructions. Once everything is in place, select Broil High and let the oven preheat for 5 minutes before placing food inside to ensure the broil element reaches the correct temperature. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-6-3-cu-ft-slide-in-electric-true-convection-range-with-instaview-and-premium-handle-printproof-stainless-steel/6623704.p?skuId=6623704 If you continue to experience any issues with the broiler or if you have further questions about operation, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport.
