  • QuestionIs this range compatible with a downdraft ventilation?

    Asked by kjwa.

    • Answer Hello there! We understand your inquiry about your LG LTGL6937D Smart Slide-In Double Oven Gas Range. According to the official specifications, this model is not compatible with downdraft ventilation. For optimal performance, we recommend installing an overhead hood system that’s vented to the outside. As a first step, please verify your cut-out dimensions (36″ H × 30″ W × 26 7/8″ D) and ensure the hood is mounted at least 24 inches above the cooktop to maintain proper airflow and clearance. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-6-9-cu-ft-smart-slide-in-double-oven-gas-true-convection-range-with-easyclean-and-instaview-printproof-black-stainless-steel/6511374.p?skuId=6511374 Your feedback is important, and we’d like to assist you further. • QuestionWhat are the dimensions of the doors? Trying to make sure we have ample walking space in front on the oven when a door is open.

    Asked by Charlene.

    • Answer Hello there! Thank you for your question. The LG LTGL6937F oven has doors that each measure approximately 29 inches in width. When considering the space required, you should also account for the depth of the oven and the swing radius of the doors when they are open. To ensure you have ample walking space in front of the oven, you may want to leave at least 42 to 48 inches of clearance in front of the oven when the doors are fully open. • Questiondoes this require a vent

    Asked by 0226.

    • Answer Like most gas ranges in the U.S., the LG 6.9 cu. ft. Smart Gas Double Oven Slide-in Range with InstaView®, ProBake® Convection, Air Fry, and Air Sous Vide, Model # LTGL6937F does not require venting in a well ventilated kitchen. It vents to the inside, but venting any gas range to the outside of your home helps to evacuate harmful cooking fumes, reduce cooking odors, and improve your health and safety. Opening windows and doors helps, but a range hood will provide the best ventilation. There’s no national code for gas venting in the United States. Generally, in the U.S., you don’t have to vent a residential gas range to the outside. But it is recommend that you buy a range hood to vent contaminants from your gas range to outside your home. It will dramatically improve your indoor air quality and reduce the risk of long-term respiratory problems, especially for people with with asthma or other similar pre-existing conditions. If you live in California, California requires ventilation of 100 CFM or more, or at least 5 air exchanges per hour. This applies to new residential areas, remodeled homes, or additions of 1,000 square feet or more...^Ivan
