“I just got this installed and yes it’s much quieter than my 15yr old Kenmore was. I do notice a very light “thud” would be the best way to describe it. It does it every rotation. It comes from the back left of the machine in the vent area. Normal?”

No. My wife reports that she has not heard any such sound.
