  • Questionwhat additional items (that are not included) do i need to purchase, to be able to use this product?

    Asked by Amber.

    • Answer Hello there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the additional items needed for your LG 7.3 Cu. Ft. Smart Electric Dryer. To ensure a proper installation, you will need to purchase a UL-listed 3-prong or 4-prong power cord (depending on your home's outlet) and a 4-inch rigid or semi-rigid metal exhaust duct, as these are not included with the unit. We understand that having all the necessary parts ready is essential for a smooth setup on delivery day. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-7-3-cu-ft-smart-electric-dryer-with-easyload-door-matte-black/JJ8VPZQZT7 For further assistance and any specific concerns you may have, please contact us on [email protected], and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo

  • QuestionJust purchased a LG DLE8400WE dryer. Replacing a old gas dryer. Home as built in 1996 and has a 3 prong 240 outlet in wall. I believe the LG dryer is not supplied with the electrical core. CORRECT? If my assumption is correct, I need to purchase the cord

    Asked by Doug.

    • Answer Hello, Doug. As with any electric dryer, regardless of brand or manufacturer, a power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the dryer's terminal block is NOT supplied with the dryer and will have to be purchased separately. The type of pigtail and gauge of wire must conform to your local codes and since manufacturers do not know what your local codes are, they do not include the power cord. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as new construction after January 1, 1996, or where local codes do not permit grounding through the neutral wire. You can use a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire, or 4-wire UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed loop or forked terminals with upturned ends. If your home has a 3-wire 240-volt receptacle, then your local building codes probably require a 30-amp, 240-volt 3-wire UL-listed power cord, but you would do well to check your local building codes or consult your local building inspector to verify...^Ivan.

  • Questionis the top of dryer slanted

    Asked by tom.

    • Answer Yes, it's slanted. I wish it was level. A basket of clothes will vibrate off. So I purchased a soft rubber pad to put on top, and that stopped it. But we shouldn't have had to do that.

  • QuestionNew dryer for me. Clothes getting stuck on the inside of the unit. Brand new towels shredded, waist pulls getting caught in the same place and spun defecting the clothing. Pictures attached show threads still in the unit's interior front(sensor?) Remedy?

    Asked by maria.

    • Answer Hi there, Maria. We understand your experience with the new DLE8400WE dryer, where you are noticing clothes and fabric threads getting stuck on the interior front of the unit, and even causing damage to your laundry. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. It is helpful to know that this unit features a lint filter that requires regular cleaning. A clogged lint filter can sometimes prevent the unit from effectively collecting lint, which could potentially contribute to fabric issues. A simple troubleshooting step you can try is to ensure you are cleaning the lint filter thoroughly before and after every use, and visually inspect the filter mesh for any tears or damage that might be letting large debris bypass it. • QuestionHow do I change the cool drying to warm ? My clothes doesn’t get dry and inside the dryer is not hot?

    Asked by Marci.

    • Answer The control panel has a temperature setting that could be changed to a warmer setting. If it is still not hot when drying, there probably is something else going on and should be checked out by a service technician. LG does have a customer service number and the machine does have a diagnostic feature that customer service can help you navigate. Good Luck.
