  • QuestionDoes this dryer have a light inside when the door is opened?

    Asked by Cunegonde.

    • Answer I am SOOOOO mad! I specifically bought this dryer because the specs said it had a drum light. I called LG and they said I had to take it up with Best Buy. I called Best Buy and they blamed LG. I think the problem is that the owners manual (and probably therefor the specs) covers several different models, some of which have lights and some without. I would've bought a less expensive model if I had known this. I do not want to go through the trouble of returning it and purchasing a different one, which I would imagine would be even more expensive. How does a dryer that's almost $1k not have a drum light?!

  • QuestionHi, Does this have a light? In the description it says there is a light, however in the comment area it has a complaint that there isn’t...

    Asked by Ana.

    • Answer Ana, The only light I have seen is around the controls. It lights up when you turn on the power or when you select your dryer /washer cycle type.

  • QuestionCan I convert the dryer to gas

    Asked by Kiki.

    • Answer Hi there, Kiki. We understand your inquiry about converting your LG DLE3600V electric dryer to gas. The DLE3600V is designed as an electric model and does not support conversion to gas, as electric and gas dryers use fundamentally different heating systems and gas safety components. To switch to gas, a dedicated gas dryer model is required—such as the LG DLG3601V—which is built with the proper gas burner assembly and safety features. Gas dryers and electric dryers have distinct installation needs: gas models require a gas supply line, proper ventilation for combustion, and certified installation by a qualified technician for safety, whereas electric dryers need a 240V outlet and venting for moisture. Converting an electric dryer to gas is not feasible due to these design differences and safety regulations. If you wish to switch to a gas dryer, consider purchasing a compatible LG gas dryer model and having it installed per local codes. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-7-4-cu-ft-stackable-smart-electric-dryer-with-built-in-intelligence-graphite-steel/6419623.p?skuId=6419623 Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport if you’d like guidance on selecting the right gas dryer model, verifying installation requirements, or exploring bundle offers. • Questionspecs say i need a cord. What cord?

    Asked by Deb.

    • Answer Any time you buy a dryer, you'll need to purchase a power cord. Every home is different, with the option to have a 3 prong or 4 prong 240v receptacle. Unplug your current dryer and count the prongs. The cord ranges from $15 to about $35 depending on prong count and length. Manufacturers just made it to where it's all universal - the home owner or installer just needs to attach the right cord. Very simply to do. It's a panel on the back with a single Phillips head screw and behind the panel are 4 color coded terminals with Phillips screws that the cord leads attach to.

  • QuestionI see reviews that people love the steam feature of this dryer. How does it work? I understand you need a kit to hook it up, but is that feature a necessity? Thanks for your opinions

    Asked by Lisa4r.

    • Answer The LG steam dryer emits puffs of steam during the drying cycle, which prevents clothes from wrinkling. The slight dampness allows the clothes to become softer and reduces the chance for wrinkles. With this feature, consumers spend less time ironing and more time doing the things that matter. This is just optional since not all of the consumers needs this feature.^Venette

  • QuestionI have a DLE3570 graphite steel stackable dryer and stand that needs to be replaced would the DLE3600 be an option to replace the DLE3570?

    Asked by Rother.

    • Answer Hello there, Rother. Thank you for your inquiry! We understand your situation and are happy to assist you with your dryer replacement options. The DLE3600V is not a direct replacement for the DLEX3570V. While both models share similar features, such as a 7.4 cu. ft. capacity and multiple drying programs, there are differences in design and technology that may impact compatibility. For example, the DLE3600V has Wi-Fi connectivity and ThinQ® Smart Technology, which the DLEX3570V does not. Additionally, the DLE3600V has a slightly different venting configuration. If you are looking to stack the dryer, the stacking kit for the DLE3600V is the KSTK4, while for the DLEX3570V, the stacking kit is KSTK1. We recommend verifying the venting configuration and other installation requirements to ensure the proper fit. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-dle3600v-front-load-electric-dryer#pdp_specs For more tailored guidance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to assist you further with replacement options or installation assistance. • QuestionI need to replace LG dryer DLGX2502V. This is a gas dryer. I would prefer to replace it with electric. Do I need to make any adjustments in order to do this? The washer I have is electric. what dryer is equivalent to this?

    Asked by carolk.

    • Answer I'm not an LG tech, but.... If you replace the 'DLG...' with 'DLE....' when asking the Google, that ought to do it... Adjustments will be to run 220V single-phase to the location, and make absolutely sure the gas line is capped off with 0 leaks...bad things may happen, otherwise. ;) Do you have 220? Open the house 'breaker box'; if there's 2 vertical stacks of circuit breakers L & R, it's likely you do. *S* Have an electrician add the appropriate breaker and cable, attach the ditto plug and socket, and dry away. *G* Hope this helps, J
