    • Answer As with any other DVD drive, the LG 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # SP80NB80 will read DICOM image files but you will need to install the included DICOM viewer software, and a DICOM viewer to view the images. DICOM images can be displayed using a program called a ‘DICOM viewer’. When DICOM CDs are created, as a convenience they often include DICOM viewers on the CD, or a direct link to a viewer that may be run from the Internet, although you do not have to use the supplied viewer if you already have one installed on your computer. An Internet search (e.g. for "DICOM viewer Windows" or "DICOM viewer Mac") will locate a variety of DICOM viewers, both free and for sale...^Ivan.

The device is defaulted to ODD mode when it is powered on. 1. With the tray open, press and hold the ‘Eject’ button for 2 seconds. (The LED indicator will turn on, switching to TV mode. Press and hold the button again for 2 seconds with the tray open to return to ODD mode). 2. Insert your supported media into the drive. No optical drives are supported on iOS devices. There are no built-in drivers for any optical drives and they simply use too much power that an iPad cannot handle. Optical drives have never been supported, at all, on any iOS device...^Ivan.
