A:AnswerThis can read games on CD if they are compatible with the PC operating system that the drive is plugged into and that the game program is written in. Yes, this can be used with any new laptop with a standard USB 2.0 port.
A:AnswerThis my exact same question. It is the reason I chose this particular Chrome Book. It does not have a USB connection port. I assumed this had some kind of adaptor to attach the device to the Chrome Book. I am ready to return this to Best Buy which is a pity because I really like the Chrome Book!
A:AnswerThank you for your interest in the LG Slim Portable (SP80NB80) model. The cable you need to attach the LG SP80NB80 external DVD drive to an old Toshiba computer is a USB data sync and power charger cable. The LG SP80NB80 is an external DVD writer that connects via USB. To connect it to an old Toshiba computer, you would need a USB cable that can provide both data transfer and power to the external drive. You can download its owner's manual through this link for more information: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-SP80NB80.AVAR10B. ^Cris
A:AnswerMy new HP Omen computer has Windows 11 and the LG DVD RW/CD RW drive has worked fine so far playing A CD. The cable is short and you may want an extension cord to place the Drive in a good position.
A:AnswerIt should release after pushing the button. Make sure your disc is in properly. If it is and it still does not release then it must be defective,
A:AnswerWell Steve jobs has been in the ground for 8 years now...If it doesn't work its only because Apple will not share any rights to any other company
A:AnswerThe specifications nor owner's manual list compatible audio formats. It only list supported disc and read/write speeds. Both, the spec sheet and owner's manual are available on the support page at https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-SP80NB80.AVAR10B ^Daphane
A:AnswerI don't think you'd be able to do so directly but it should allow you to rip the CD to a computer and then transfer from computer to phone. However that is going to be dependent on the software you use
A:AnswerI'm having a very similar problem with my M1 MacBook Air. When I put a CD in, sometimes it will act like it's going to import the CD, but it usually just stops and says something like "file not found." That was at first. The last few weeks it has been doing just like yours- ignoring it totally. Both Geek Squad and Apple Support were not able to help at all. But of course, it worked like a charm when I brought the whole thing to Best Buy and tried to show them what it does. Figures. Sorry if this doesn't help you, but I feel your pain. I thought it was just my computer having a defect, but I see I'm not the only one. The only workaround to get music on my phone is this- I'll import a CD into iTunes on my old computer, then do a backup to my external hard drive. Then connect that hard drive to the M1, open up the last backup, then drag and drop. It sucks that you gotta resort to stuff like this on a brand new computer, especially considering how expensive these things are.
A:AnswerYes, this drive has TV Connectivity. TV Connectivity is a function that allows you to enjoy videos, pictures and music by connecting this product to a compatible A/V device that supports USB connectivity. ^Daphane
