- Answer Hello Lilsummie. We regret to read that your LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity SteamDryer™ w/ NFC Tag On, Model # DLEX3570V keeps shutting off after a little while and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The cause most likely may be due to a a thermal overload switch which is shutting down the dryer because it's getting too hot or the motor is overworking or the overload switch itself may be bad or the timer. A clogged exhaust vent may have caused the dryer to overheat and trip the thermal fuse. Check to see if there is an error code showing on the display. If the Flow Sense™ indicator shows four bars during the drying cycle or the display shows "d80" after drying, the possible cause may be due to a partial blockage of the ductwork due to lint buildup or other foreign object. or the dryer has detected a restriction in the external dryer venting...^IFV

- Answer This dryer is shipped to vent to the rear. It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side (right-side venting is not available on gas models). If you want to change it to vent to the side, you will need to purchase an adapter kit part # 383EEL9001B which contains the necessary duct components to change the dryer vent location. ^CP

- Answer No, but this dryer can be vented in multiple ways. It's set to vent to the rear, but can also vent to the bottom or to the right side.

QuestionI have a 2017 LG gas dryer DLGX3371. The instructions don't say if you should empty the steam feeder after use. An online video dating to 2012 shows emptying a different type of steam feeder. Should I empty mine? It is smaller, and has a filter.

- Answer The feeder should not require emptying if filled to the correct level. You must fill the steam feeder before any cycle requiring steam so any residual water can be emptied.
