A:AnswerI have this router placed in the basement and I watch Netflix in the first level of the house with no issues. Even on the second level, the signal is good but I don't have a TV there so can't say whether watching Netflix there would be problem.
A:AnswerNo for that you need a router with ddwrt installed on it, which will void warranty. You can buy netgear nighthawk and installed the software, you must me techy for that
I have done that in the past and It will amazing what you can do with that
A:AnswerI have been streaming to 2 fire sticks and an apple tv while still using my tablets and phones with no issues. And thats streaming 1080p videos.
A:AnswerOne of the reasons we chose this router is because you can buy a range extender to take the signal farther. The salesman said many routers do not have this feature but the Linksys does.
A:AnswerIt depends on placement and interference.
However, I believe the answer is yes.
The topic of wifi is complex, but this thing does directional broadcasting, so a lot of the wireless packet collision (this is an in depth topic and will make you sad if you try and learn about it - trust me) are no longer an issue.
Just make sure it's not shoved in a corner next to the microwave and a cluster of plumbing and you'll be fine. Aim for the middle of the house somewhere. Adding a coax drop is easy, so don't feel constrained to existing plugs.
A:AnswerYes! I've tested it between 3 floors and signal strength is great. You may have some spotty areas due to certain materials. Your best bet is somewhere central on the mid level. But if third floor is the best you can do, this router will shoo excellent. In any case, if it isn't handling everything you may consider a repeater (a 2nd router.) You'll get better performance then buying 1 ultra high-end router.
A:AnswerI can't answer how this router compares to other routers but I set this one Linksys MAX-STREAM AC1750 MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router.up in my basement where my modem is & I can get a strong signal throughout house & even outside to 75+ feet away from house.
