- Answer Hi. Yes, you can plug this into any outlet as it's rated 100-240V; just make sure that it's placed on an area where it'll still get at least 1-2 signal bars from the main router.

- Answer Hi, Nita. You can place it upstairs however you need to find a perfect spot on where you will set up the range extender. It should be placed in an area where it can get at least (50%) 2 - 3 wireless signal bars from the router.

QuestionI have a separate pole barn style metal siding garage about 100 yards away from my house. And get zero signal unless I’m in certain spots of the garage. How far away from the internet router will this boost the signal?

- Answer Let's not forget the key words in the question, "metal siding". Your barn's basically a signal reflector, The only way to guarantee any sort of a good signal would be to run cable out to it and hook up an access point internally. Range extenders might help, but it'll be a crapshoot.

- Answer yes put the unit where you have the strongest signal possible and it will rebroadcast from that point with a strong signal on your side. You will be setting it up as a repeater\extender in this case.

- Answer Yes, absolutely you can. My wireless router is on one side of the house and my home office is on the other, with several desktop PC's that have no Wi-Fi. Took two seconds to connect and the switch works great. You lose speed the more you have running at once, but most likely won't be that much of a notice. I infarct, typed this response from the said setup.

- Answer Hi Mike. No. However, this device will increase the range of a wireless home network and provide Wi-Fi range extension with the two non-detachable external antennas. This automatically extends both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network of dual-band routers once you set it up.
