- Answer Yeah this will definitely help. This is almost like an antenna to your modem/router to provide more coverage with the same speed as your modem.

- Answer Absolutely we used this product to reach our children’s room (located in the back of the house) and our garage. We placed one in our living room, the other in our children’s room, and the third one in the garage and everything is working out quite nicely!

QuestionJust set up Linksys AC2200 Tri Band Mesh router. I have an outbuilding about 30 feet from house. If I add a node in this building will it give me wi-fi in outbuilding? If you add nodes do you have to reboot every device you own?

- Answer As long as the node is able to connect to another node with a strong enough connection, then yes, adding a node in the out building will basically add a wifi hotspot in that building. If the wifi range is too far, you can also use a Cat 5e ethernet cable off of the main unit (the one connected to your modem) and that will allow you to have a much better connection. It would basically be like extending your modem to that building. You don't have to reboot the system after adding a node. It will automatically adjust once you add the node through the app. The only thing you have to reset for are updates. Hope that helps.

- Answer that depends. If you already have a router and it can go into bridge mode, then you can put your node elsewhere in the house wirelessly and extend your coverage. your functionality mileage will vary in this case along with a bit of instructional web searching to get this working. If you don't have a router then yes, it will have to remain hardwired in order to work.

QuestionI bought a 3 pack of these about a year ago. Is it possible to buy 2 more and have them work with the existing 3 that I have? And, if the answer is yes, is the set up complicated? Also, how can I tell if my 3 are duel or tri-band?

- Answer Yes, no, and not sure. They can be added easily, just make sure they are least 30 feet apart. Too close is not good, as mesh is powerful and the signal will get confused.

- Answer This is a router itself, so your existing router will not be needed. One will receive the wired connection and the other(s) a wireless signal from the wired one.

- Answer Quick answer, YES. If a AC2600 (mine) can cover my house of over 4,000 sq ft & is rated at up 3,000 sq ft, then you have 3 nodes to cover up to 4500 sq ft. So far all my devices load quicker than the router I had before. The nodes are to be placed 15-30 ft from the parent & have distinct color indicators to show if it shakes hands with the nearest node (parent or child). Of course one has to consider any heavy obstacles/barriers in between nodes to successfully operate.

- Answer Yes, if you connect a Cat 5e to the output on the main unit (the one connected to your modem) you should be able to connect a node at a farther range than the WiFi will allow. Keep in mind that the maximum distance for Cat 5e cable is 328 feet so you would need to be within that distance for it to work. It's possible a longer run would work but not as well. Hope that helps.

- Answer The AC2600 is an actual router system allowing you to connect one node to your modem while also connecting a device with cat5/Ethernet cable. This one node should cover up to 1,500 sq ft. Adding the second node allows up to another 1,500 sq ft coverage...so YES, this AC2600 (which has 2 nodes) should cover your 2,000 sq ft single story house. Again, this IS a Wi-Fi router system so no need to purchase another router; only need a modem & ISP.

- Answer It depends on how far away the detached garage is and if there are features in the walls that might block the signal (e.g. chicken-wire in stucco might block the RF). I recently had to migrate my home computers to my back bedroom during a major remodel and I used the Velop dual band with 3 nodes and it works very well (1750 sq-ft house with a bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room between the router and the bedroom.

QuestionI have two of my TVs connected to wireless boxes. Nearly every night when I turn on the tv in my master bedroom it says U-verse signal lost and I have to go through all of the resetting nonsense. Our tv upstairs pixelates at times also. Will this help?

- Answer The rule of thumb is: if it moves, stay wireless. If it's static, wired. Your TVs and U-Verse boxes need to be wired, period. Disregarding that advice, yes, these "should" work for you as well. I'd opt for the higher speed versions though if your pushing 2 wireless TVs and U-Verse.
