• This is a wireless extender, there is not a cat-5 or ethernet port on it. This works with Linksys Velop wifi routers to add additional distance to your wifi network. It links to those routers wirelessly, then provides additional coverage. Not sure if it will reach 250ft away though. Hope this helps.
