Thank you Maytag for providing the correct height with the top lid opened. Now can you tell me why all washer manufacturers have an infatuation with making washers with the top lid open height being higher than 55 inches? Size does matter if it is too big. I have a laundry chute above my washer, which requires me to find a washer under 55 inches with the top lid open. That is impossible to find today!
