QuestionNEW Maytag Bravos X Ecoconserve not rinsing or spinningWhen I start the laundry on "normal" the timer shows 44 minutes, then quickly drops to 9. After this all lights go out except the bar at the bottom indicating which cycle the wash is in. On this bar, the "wash" is lit and the cycle is never complete with rinsing and spinning. The second question I have regards a rug that had laundry detergent spilled on it. I tried various cycles and the water never was raised high enough in the tub to cover the detergent spill on the rug therefore I washed the rug in the bathtub. HELP

Questionhow do you run an unlimited pre-soak prior to washing the load?Maytag Bravos MVWX500XW0 Type 588-03. I occassionally need to pre-soak loads. I have tried to fill the tub for a bulk load and then just leave the lid up, however it drains instead of soaking. Very frustraiting. also, how can additives be used in this machine, such as Borax, Calgon, or any of the new Oxy-clean products. There are only 2 fill reservoirs, one for the detergent and one for fabric softener [and then the one for liquid bleach, which I don't know if I can use anything in there other than normal liquid bleach, so I have never used that port]. I have found this machine frustraiting, it came with no manual, and I have called several times to the Whirlpool HQ and Customer service to get answers; to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Answer Dear Kath: For the model MVWX500XW0 it does not have a soak option or feature on the unit. Unfortunately you will not be able to soak for extended times without that feature. When using Oxi clean or other additives you have to add them directly to the tub before adding clothing. The bleach dispenser is only for bleach. I am sorry that you didn't receive a manual. QuestionMy washing machine's spin cycle won't wring water out of the clothes. What could be causing this? it's model #mvwx500xwo. It's less than 6mos old.When a small load is in, the spin cycle does not effectively spin the clothes semi-dry. the clothes are still soaked. Its been cleaned and I'm not sure what to do next!!!
