It depends on the TV. If it is a model that has bluetooth already built in you are fine. If not then you need to buy the adapter that plugs into the audio plugs on the back of the tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a wireless (Bluetooth) box that for me is plugged into my headphone jack slot on my TV. The headphones are paired up to that box and work independently from the TV’s volume controls. I did need to go to my TV’s system controls and let the speakers continue to play while the headphone jack is in use. Hopefully this helps.
