use your smart phone as an access point by tethering, you wifi to it and it uses the cell carrier's data network, watch out for excess data charges if you have a small data plan however

If you have something on your computer you can still use it regardless of if you have access to the internet. Now if you want to web surf or do things that REQUIRE an internet connection you have to find a hotspot. I'm not sure where you live, but in Orlando, FL this is not hard to do. Most businesses now offer free hotspot access and the cable company has free hotspots all over the city. If you are going to be somewhere you know you won't have access to the internet - on a plane for example although most planes off it now - simply download or install ahead of time.
