“My son had his Surface Pro 3 stolen at college, is it possible to download tracking software on this computer?”

• When I log onto my microsoft account, if the computer is on, it will tell me where my computer is. But I'm not sure how long it will take for thieves to disable that feature. It also won't work if the computer is turned off. You may be able to download something better.

• Yes, but there is just no software built on. I do recommend using BitLocker and encrypting the device so if someone steals it they can't reset it or get any information off of it.
