Q: QuestionIf I plug a USB-C 100W PD 3.0 charger into the USB-C receptacle on the hub, will it charge laptop battery? If so, at what max charge rate for Go, Go2, Book2, Book3, Laptop 3, Pro7, ProX - i.e. how much power is reserved for the hub vs passed-through?

• A:Answer specs page on the Microsoft site says: 1 USB-C® 3.2 Gen 2 port (10 Gbps data transfers and pass-through accessory charging) NOTE: Supports compatible accessory charging. Does NOT support laptop charging. (emphasis added) You might want to try a different USB-C hub with PD ports (I believe you need 3A@15V for Surface) and a third-party USB-C to Surface Connect cable
