The 4K upscaling this console utilizes will lead to bigger games which will undoubtedly tear through 500GB, however this depends on how many games you buy. It should hold 6-7 games and if you buy more you can delete the older games you don't play anymore off your console and re-download them later if you want to play them again and still have your progress. that is what i did before i bought a 2TB Seagate hard drive and it has worked very well for me since then.
