A:AnswerI got this modem from the beginning so that I don’t pay any rental fee! I am finding that ridiculous! I come from Germany and if a firm wants you to use their service they borrow it to you for free!!
This modem works perfectly! I don’t use Skype at the moment. But we watch movies etc. without any problems. Skype should work fine therefore.
A:AnswerI am a Spectrum customer and own the Motorola MG7550 modem/router. My internet service is 100mbps and I have had no issues with my service. When I activated the modem/router the Spectrum representative did not mention one thing about potential issues. I am upgrading my internet service to 400mbps very soon and was told by Spectrum there would not be any problems with the Motorola modem/router.
A:AnswerIn order to get Ooma to work on MG7550 I had to enter the router setup and set firewall to "low" in order to open the ports Ooma uses. Investigating how to setup port forwarding rules to work with higher firewall settings.
A:AnswerI had U Verse and AT&T told me that I could not use a modem that wasn't supplied by them but if you talk to them and tell them you don't want to pay the rental on the modem they can take it off your bill.
