Q: QuestionCan a second modem be added to a residence's service (to have network connections in different area of house}?
Asked by chuck.
- A:Answer If you are asking if you can put to modems on the same service drop, the answer is yes but it would be provisioned as two separate accounts (i.e. If you are renting out a room or guest house and want to allow them to have their own internet service). If you are asking if you can use two modems to have the same network in different parts of the house, the answer is no. You would want to either run Category 5e or Category 6 Ethernet cable to the other part of the house for a hardwired connection or extend your wireless network to the other part of the house using wifi extenders if the wifi connection is too weak.

Q: QuestionDoes this modem support voice service?
Asked by mgbeecher.
- A:Answer Yes, but not directly. You can go through it with voice - we have VoIP telephone service (Ooma), and also use Wi-Fi calling. Keep in mind, this is only a modem. You still need a separate router and/or voice telephone system (e.g., Ooma, Vonage, etc.).
