“will this phone be on android 7.0 nougat out of the box? Im a bit of a dinosaur and would prefer not to upgrade to android 9 or One...whatever it is called. thanks!”

Well, I bought this phone as well, and it started out of the gate as OREO 8.1.0, then got 5 separate Security Patches (you do NEED these), then got PIE 9.0 then got another 4 Security Patches, so I would Highly suggest you go with the newer Android Operating System - with the SECURITY Patches!! - - - - - Unless you Enjoy Viruses . . . . . ;)
