QuestionCan you increase the amount of the memory in the hard drive??

- Answer Yes, but with a catch. The HDD is easily accessible, and can be swapped out easily. There's a sticker over one of the screws to remove the bottom, but I don't believe doing so voids your warranty (but you should check with MSI before doing so, if you care). The SSD is also user-upgradable, but requires nearly completely disassembling the laptop. MSI, for some reason, mounts the motherboard upside down in the GS line laptops, so if you aren't very knowledgeable, I'd recommend having a professional do it.

QuestionI bought this computer a few days ago and it said it would come with a fortnite bundle and i have not gotten it yet. I checked all my emails and there was no fortnite code.

QuestionIs the SSD Drive and 16GB Ram upgradable? I have a few knowledge about computer parts but i don't particularly know how to install a new SSD or Memory. Is it going to cost me a lot if i ask Geek Squad to do it?

- Answer Yes it is upgradable, however. 1) It will void your 1 year warranty 2) Its a bit difficult to get to since its below the motherboard so you have to remove that and the back plate 3) Personally i don't think its necessary to upgrade RAM 16 gigs is plenty of RAM for anyone but the most hardcore of multitaskers, the SSD is justifiable though if your wanting to run some programs a bit quicker.

QuestionI cannot update/access the Intel Graphics Control Panel since the October 2018 Windows update. Has anyone encountered/fixed this problem? I have tried updating via Intel & MSI support pages but drivers are not validated which makes no sense.

- Answer I didn't have that specific problem, but I did have a different Intel graphics problem. What fixed it for me was uninstalling the integrated graphics through device manager, and then running Intel's driver and support assistant. The version you should have is 6519. Somehow, I ended up with a higher version, which was unsigned. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it.

QuestionAfter updated my laptop, now it cannot connect to wifi anymore. It keeps saying "no internet, secured". And the thing is the same thing happened to my old MSI laptop. Has anyone had the same issue?

- Answer I bought this machine to trade penny stocks on. While I can connect to wifi or usb teher it will not run both of the trading platforms I use at the same time on a dual monitor setup. While both are online one of them is not cloud based, and it is the one that crashes the most. It has also started to crash while running without the second monitor. I updated the drivers and windows, Geek Squad found a few that I missed, and sadly the problem remains. It has gotten to the point that it can't even open a small app like Microsoft Jigsaw a lot of the time. Now that I have seen others with the same problem I will definitley be returning this computer. This is my first experience with MSI outside of an industrial setting and I am very disappointed.

- Answer There is one extra ram slot, and it is very difficult to access. This laptop uses an inverted motherboard and the ram slots are on the opposite side of it. But, if you are willing to take the computer apart to get to them, the type of RAM you would need would be SODIMM DDR4. The best way to go with an upgrade such as this would be G.SKILL Ripjaws, Model F4-2400C16D-32GRS. Hope this helped.

- Answer It depends on how you set the battery manager. If you set it for max performance and hammer the GPU then about 1 hour. If you set it more conservatively (or battery saver) then >6 hours of light work.
