She would need to have a phone number to be able to make calls on Nest Hub Max. Her phone number needs to be linked to the same Google Account used to set up Nest Hub Max. Please try again later.Yes you do not need a phone you can set it up with just the Gmail address. the Google hub uses Google duo for voice and video calls so if you can set up a duo account separately you can do it that way as well, but the easiest way would be to set up a Gmail for her and it would automatically work with placed and received calls
